....and the winner is....!!!
Australia 2005

This is the winner of the race (left), and Linda - a race driver from Perth - wich we met at the hostel we were living at in Potts Point, Sydney. She took us to the races at Parramatta ("backstage" too), and if you read this Linda; thank you!!!!
Australia 2005

These cars were the fastest ones. 160 km/h. Also trough 180 degrees turns. It was amazing to watch them.

Jetlag

I guess that is what I have now. I woke up at 0400 (after falling asleep 2100) and was wide awake. Anyhoo - I put in some more pics in the blog. Yes, they are scattered this time too, but at least you'll see some more of our experiences.

We found this strange looking house by the harbour. Have no idea what it's supposed to be.

Emu's. There was many of them in the areas where agriculture was the main thing.

When I left the farm where I drove the roadtrain, I had to clean up my room. Then this little guy came crawling out from underneath my pillow.

This is where we stayed in Cryon. Notice the watertank. That was where we got drinkingwater, so rain was essential.
Australia 2005

This was the only kind of traffic we had in Cryon. Driven by beerdrinking cowboys!
Australia 2005

There was some spectacular scenery when storm approached. No wind, but a lot of tension in the air...

Some twisted guy built this castle for Copernicus' reincarnation/return.... It is some sort of a obesrvation center for constellations and space.
Australia 2005

This is us inside a opal mine in LIghtning Ridge. The ONLY place on our planet (so far) you can find black opals.
Australia 2005

This is Fred. A very tame sheep. He came to visit us one day.

This is where we put the marks in the sheep ear. One cut and a clip.

Back in Finland

We arrived just a day ago here in Finland. After a long and tireding journey on 30 hours we finally got here. Here is snow, cold and days are short, but it feels very good. Have spent most time sleeping and eating and ended this day with a sauna. Now it is time to go to sleep, still tired.... Good night.

Jenni and her dad, Martti.

This is Jenni's parents house. Very idyllic indeed. And finally we got the christmas feeling we didn't got in Australia.
Finland 2005

Kim had to dig his car out from the snow. Well, there is some kind of an temporary garage under there. Wich partly worked.
Finland 2005

This is by the river nearby where Jenni lives. It is quite beautiful...

Some more pics again...

So here is some more to enjoy. They are as usual scattered, but we just wanna show you some of the last month we were travelling. There is even more pics we haven't published, like from when Kim worked as a driver, when we were house maids and a bit more. But we think anyway you'll like what's underneath here.
